 Domestic Solutions - HiPAF Compact

HiPAF Compact (for more stringent requirements)

Utilising SAF (Submerged Aerated Filter) technology, the WPL HiPAF Compact combines versatility, efficient processing and reliability to meet unusually high Environment Agency and SEPA specifications whilst minimising visual impact on the landscape.

Available as a single tank, this system provides treatment for Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Suspended Solids (SS) and ammonia (NH4) in small wastewater applications for populations ranging from 1 up to 60 persons. With no internal moving parts, the HiPAF handles variable flows and loads, and stores both humus and primary sludges in one compartment for convenient tanker operations. Other benefits include bespoke designs to meet customer needs, minimal visual impact, surface-accessible diffusers and an air distribution system that can be maintained without emptying the tanks. Unique flow balancing in the primary tank is available as an additional option.

With over 1200 HiPAF units installed throughout the United Kingdom and overseas, it is specified by Water Plc’s including United Utilities, Yorkshire Water and Southern Water, whilst also being the preferred choice in many commercial and domestic applications, where tighter consent standards must be met.

Benefits

  • Minimal visual impact
  • Flexible supply lead times
  • designed to provide a treatment quality up to 10:10:2 BOD:SS: NH4 as part of a package solution
  • Unique flow balancing in primary tank (optional extra)
  • Copes with variable flows and loads
  • Reliable operation
  • Standby facility (optional extra)
  • No internal moving parts, reducing the need for maintenance access
  • Diffuser systems are accessible from the surface and the tank does not need emptying during maintenance on the air distribution system
  • Secure, split-lid access covers
  • Humus and primary sludge’s are stored in one place for simple tankering operation
